SUMMARY:Renewing Our Covenant - Sunday Service
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, April 28th new members will be welcomed into our congr
 egation. The sermon for the week is "Renewing Our Covenant." Rev. Margaret
  Beckman says that Unitarian Universalists are united through our covenant
 s\; the promises we make with each other and the spirit that enlivens us. 
 With new members\, we become a new congregation\; and this is a good time 
 to renew our promises and agreements.\n\nMorning service is at 10:30 follo
 wed by Coffee Hour at 11:30. Come for either or both gatherings and bring 
 a friend.\n\nReligious Education\n\nOn the heels of Easter\, communities a
 cross our country observed Earth Day. This Sunday we'll honor the Earth ag
 ain in our RE gathering\, reading The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. 
 In this lovely story\, creatures in the Amazon Rain Forest speak to the va
 lue of a great tree in their lives\, which are very different from one ano
 ther. What they share has powerful impact.\n\nAfter talking about this sto
 ry\, we'll learn the Elm Dance\, which eco-activist Joanna Macy teaches to
  every group she works with.\n\nCome\, light our chalice\, and talk about 
 the sacred work of caring for our Earth.\nLane Fisher
